At Desomer-Plancke in Poperinge you will find everything under one roof: garden materials, toys, household items, ... We will suit both the professional and the do-it-yourselfer. Journey through history:
André Desomer and Carline Plancke took over a small blacksmith shop in 1967 on the corner of Veurnestraat and Doornstraat in the center of Poperinge. They gradually started selling do-it-yourself items.
After expanding the shop several times, in 1992 due to lack of space and parking space, the industrial site in Poperinge was relocated.
In 2013, the original building (entrance side) was demolished and replaced by a new retail area on the ground floor and warehouse and offices on the 2nd floor.
In 2019, work started on the demolition of the warehouse behind the store. Here a new building will be built that connects to the current buildings with an underground car park, an extension of the DIY and wood department and a workshop on the ground floor and a showroom for the garden furniture on the 2nd floor.
2020 Will be remembered forever for the global corona crisis. As a result, work is being done at a rapid pace on a webshop to still be able to serve you.
